Now, I know what some of you are thinking... "Uh, excuse me, weren't you supposed to be making a story about PT Barnum in space or something? What is this?"

I don't know what it was about that project, but it never properly congealed into a form I liked. I think it's probably just not done cooking yet. Lesson learned: don't advertise projects too soon, because your brain might just build a brick wall in the way at the last minute. Let's move on, shall we?

This is a story called The Trapper Lad, set in North East England sometime in the mid 19th century. I'm having to get my hands dirty for this one - that's some genuine bona fide traditional inks/watercolours up there! I've even been using coal to do some of the shading, since it's set in a coal mine. Artsy, right?

I'm going to publish another page soon after this one to give you a bit more of a taster, and then we're going to be into a weekly, Tuesday upload schedule. Advance warning that this is a fairly short comic even by my standards - perhaps half the length of my other stories.
